The ancient Argos held the
following facilities :
- Perfect road and
draining system.
- Remarkable water
network, with quadrangle pipes made of bricks and a
capacity for water bigger than the modern town has.
- A big branched drain
network, which sometimes ended to 2 or 3 spacious pipes,
a characteristic of a large town's network.
- Two gymnasiyms, the
Kilaravion older east o the town, and the Nemiakon north
outside the gate Thiras(Doors), which has been spotted
nowadays by our Archaelogists.
- The only School of
Arts in Greece for sculpture, architecture, copper
processing with master the famous Gelada.
- It is said(with
cautiousness) that the town afforded an observatory for
its needs.
- The town ows its
existence in ancient times as a unique and complete state
to its sky-tall walls which no human power could invade
except for the Romans who destroyed the walls of all the
towns in Greece, including those in Argos.
