The most famous Cyclopean acropolis are three : Mycenae, Tirintha, Arni in Biotia and Tirintha is the most impressive as a fortification handiwork, given directly to the visitor of the perfecture.

The main entrance is located at the east side. Built on a low hill with dimensions 26 m high, 280 m long and 80 m wide, doesn't impose itself on the flat land with its natural greatness.

It dominates with the power of its supernatural walls. Cyclopean their look and technique : irregular stones, 31,5 m the bigger one - weighting 13 tons. Smaller ones come in between giving a total length of the surrounding walls which comes up to 700 m.

To the main gate of the palace comes someone passing through three other butresses and a first yard. Floors decorated and walls with frescos representing hunting and women's parade. The acropolis end up north with an extension o the walls in an elliptical way, where other secondary buildings are located - maybe for the army - maybe for the citizens living outside the walls.
